Historic Hotels Ghent is a collection of 3 privately owned small hotels - the Ghent River Hotel****, the Hotel de Flandre**** and the Hotel Gravensteen*** - in the spectacular medieval centre of Ghent. Each hotel is housed on one or more of Ghent's historic buildings, dating back variously to as far as 1518.
All three hotels are located right in the stunning centre of Ghent, the largest car-free area in Belgium, and a worthy rival to the nearby city of Bruges. Just a few minutes walk from the hotels brings you to the Gravensteen castle, the Graslei harbour, St Michael's Bridge and Church, the enormous Vrijdagsmarkt Square and more.
Each year the city hosts numerous events, such as the 10-day Ghent Festival, the Festival of Flanders, the Flanders International Film Festival, the Winterdream Festival and Christmas Market and the Six Days of Flanders track cycling races held at the Kuipke velodrome.
